Summary
Incumbent will provide primary and specialty physiatry chronic pain management services and consultations for outpatient and community living center (CLC) veterans receiving care in the Saginaw VAMC. The incumbent will ensure the quality and timeliness of the service provided and customer satisfaction. You will also collaborate with other services as appropriate and ongoing basis.Duties

General competence i n a variety of EM G ) N CS and other diagnostic studies of nerves) muscles) bones and vessels as needed to evaluate and manage veterans needs. Expertise or willingness to acquire expertise i n the management of acute and chronic pain conditions with coordination of care with Primary Care Providers) Physical Therapists/Occupational Therapists) Behavioral Therapists and other Mental Health professionals with in the context of the Patient Aligned Care Team ( PACT) model . Specific competence in the diagnosis and management of Traumatic Brain injury (TBI) disorders including certification for TBI 5 exams in C&P Seamless Transition and consultations. Performs the role of SC provider and assists the SC team in providing care to Veterans with spinal cord injury. Serve as a consultant to CLC providers to manage inpatient rehab unit. Evaluates programs and/or service activities using professional standard of care and practice# and adheres to the requirements of Saginaw VAMC and GEC standards. Provides patient and family education, staff education and consults and collaborates with other health care providers. Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
