About the Position: This position is at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) Department of OB/GYN, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Honolulu, Hawaii. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace. Duties

• Serve as a specialist in OB-GYN, specifically Maternal Fetal Medicine, performing complicated and involved examinations, diagnoses, and treatment of patients who may have complicated and often overlapping problems.
• Provide a variety of professional medical services to authorized beneficiaries of the outpatient clinic on a walk-in or scheduled appointment basis.
• Examine patients to determine need for and orders laboratory test, x-rays and other procedures necessary to complete medical facts on Maternal Fetal Medicine cases.
• Interpret examination findings and test results, makes diagnoses of disease, illness, disorder or injury, and treats patients or prescribes course of treatment.
• Make presumptive diagnoses of more serious or uncommon conditions and seeks advice of appropriate consultants.
• Participate in quality assurance, quality improvement, peer review, and similar professional medical activities in conjunction with accreditation and other standards required of medical facilities.
• Perform inpatient clinical duties as credentialed including but not limited to admissions, discharges, treatments, therapeutic procedures and clinical documentation for adult, pediatric, obstetrical, critical care and emergency department patients.
• In the capacity of OB/GYN residency faculty, provide professional guidance to personnel assigned to the Department of OB/GYN.
• Provide didactic training of the OB/GYN residents to include both formal and informal lectures and hands on teaching.
• Mentor and direct supervision of OB/GYN residents in the performance of inpatient and outpatient care.
• Attend and participate in clinical and administrative staff meetings.
