Medical Instrument Technician (Ultrasound)

Summary

About the Position: This position is located at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

• Perform a variety of routine ultrasound examinations to aid health care providers in the diagnosis and treatment of disease or injury.
• Identify medically significant aspects of the sonogram to the radiologist or other staff physicians.
• Assist radiologist with basic ultrasound-guided procedures.
• Perform operator maintenance on ultrasound equipment as required.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

Education
