Summary
About the Position: This position is located at the 66th Medical Group, Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.Duties
- Manage industrial hygiene program for the Medical Treatment Facility to control a variety of occupational health and environmental hazards.
- Conduct audits to evaluate occupational health hazards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and analyzing findings to make recommendations for corrective action.
- Develop sampling strategies using indirect and direct reading instruments such as pumps, meters, heat stress monitors, and/or dosimeters, to quantify hazards.
- Advise management on industrial hygiene and related safety, environmental, and emergency response issues.
- Create instruction to train employees, management, and/or other safety professional personnel on industrial hygiene and related occupational health, safety, and environmental issues.
- Provide emergency response guidance to on-scene commanders, fire fighters, and other emergency response personnel as needed.
