Summary

Located in the Dept of Emergency Med. at Evans Army Community Hospital at Ft Carson, Colorado. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed. We accept applications on an ongoing basis; qualified applicants will be considered as vacancies become available.

Duties

  • Responsible for the full range of cases and the immediate initial recognition, evaluation, care, and disposition of patients in response to acute illness and injury.
  • Triage, examine, diagnose, resuscitate, stabilize, treat or direct a course of treatment for a wide range of emergent patients from the pediatric to the geriatric patient, or from seriously ill to the severely traumatized.
  • Coordinate admission of patient to hospital with accepting staff physician.
  • Perform authorized emergency procedures to include but not limited to laceration repair, central venous line emplacement, pacemaker placement, tube thoracostomy, thoracotomy, cricothyrotomy, cardioversion, defibrillation, and peritoneal lavage.
  • Examine patients and order appropriate tests to evaluate patient complaints.
