Training Technician (Live Fire/Ground Controller)

Summary

About the Position: Position serves as Ground Controller and liaison to the Air Traffic Controller and unit exercise commander for the execution of training operations. This announcement is for current permanent Army employees that would like to be considered for a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade. Duties

• Approve exercise scheduling and conduct pre-exercise execution checks and coordination.
• Monitor, evaluate and disseminate information regarding the execution of each phase of each exercise via radar and voice communication systems.
• Direct range and environmental inspectors to range areas requiring inspection, survey or assessment.
• Assist in coordinating response to and providing information concerning reportable accidents and incidents.

Education
